We are always looking for new skaters, refs, volunteers and trainers.  If you want to be involved, we have a roll for you!

Roller Derby is not just about the skaters. We depend on our referees, non-skating officials and volunteers to make every bout run safely and smoothly. If you would like to be part of the Roller Derby community, please consider one of our volunteer positions within the league. Our bouts cannot go on without the contribution of these valuable support people.

Referees
We will train you. You must be willing to read, understand and enforce the WFTDA standard rules at bouts to ensure skater safety and fair play. You must be comfortable on skates (quads or roller blades) and purchase safety equipment (helmet, knee pads, wrist guards and elbow pads) and a whistle.  For more information on reffing, email refs@hogtownrollerderby.com

Non-Skating Officials
Our NSO’s work at track level. They support referees to track skater line-ups, penalties, and points throughout the game. They also start each jam.   For more information on NSOing, email refs@hogtownrollerderby.com

Volunteers
There are many things that need to get done when we put on a bout; designing posters, promoting, working the door and laying the track. And volunteering is a great way to learn about roller derby!  Let us know what your talents are and we will find a way to put them to use. If you’re not sure of your talents, we can find something for you to do.  For more information, email volunteers@hogtownrollerderby.com

Skaters
You must be at least 18 years old. All skating levels are welcome! No prior experience is required – NO TRYOUTS! If you have a positive attitude, want to get in shape and hangout with a community of great people sign-up today!  For more information, see our “Fresh Meat” page.
